Hailing from Acres Homes on the north side of Houston, Ivyy is an independent R&B artist with a sound rooted in raw emotion, honesty, and a style that's uniquely her own.

Blending classic soul influences with modern storytelling, her music captures what it means to love, lose, and learn through it all.

Ivyy dropped her debut EP Imperfect in 2023, offering a glimpse into her world with tracks that balance vulnerability and confidence. Since then, she’s been steadily rising—performing across Houston, experimenting with new styles, and collaborating with artists from all over the map.

One of her latest releases, How Can Love, is a heartbreak anthem that brings listeners back to the essence of R&B—real lyrics, real feeling, real music. From writing and recording to performing and curating visuals, Ivyy is hands-on with every step of her art. She’s not just singing—she’s building a legacy, one song at a time.

Ivyy’s artistry is rooted in experience—each lyric pulled from life, each performance shaped by the community that raised her. She’s not chasing trends; she’s telling her truth. And as her story unfolds, one thing’s clear: Ivyy isn’t just here to be heard—she’s here to be felt.

My Beautiful Mama and Me

The bond that shaped my heart.

"Me and my mama, a bond that’s grown through everything. She’s one of the biggest pieces of my heart, and her strength is part of the reason I am who I am today."

The Originals

"I was lucky enough to grow up with two parents who were both musically and lyrically gifted. My mom and dad are rappers—freestylers with a natural ear for hooks and melodies. Since I was a little girl, I watched them pour their souls into verses. My dad was the one who first encouraged my mom to start writing, and once she did, she found her own lane and never looked back. They both performed all over Houston, and my dad—he was that guy. Everybody knew him. He had history with artists like Z-Ro and others from the city. He passed away in 2020, just before I turned 18. We had plans. He was going to teach me everything he knew about music once I got grown enough to decide for myself. Until then, we sent each other clips back and forth on Messenger—him rapping a new verse, me singing it back, him coaching me through the screen. When he died, it broke something in me. It took three years before I could even try to make music again. But I kept hearing his voice in my head—he’d be more disappointed if I never tried at all. So I did. And what came out was more than I ever expected.

My mom is still with me—just not home yet. She’s been writing music from jail, says she has over ten songs ready for us to record together. When she gets out in a few months, we’re hitting the studio and she’s coming to all my shows. Even though we’re not in the same room, we talk almost every day. She keeps me grounded. She reminds me who I am. I carry both of them with me—always."

My Daddy

The man, the myth, the melody.

"Quick with a joke and deep with meaning—my dad spoke in riddles and moved like a story unfolding. Everybody in Houston knew him, and if you didn’t, you knew someone who did. That kind of presence doesn't fade. It echoes. And I carry it with me every time I step to the mic."
